Concordia by Candlelight is one of the latest initiatives to be introduced in the area and it has already proved to be a big hit. It is held in the streets of Concordia Sagittaria’s old town centre in the evening and the only illumination comes from candles, which are placed in the main parts of the town.

The event calls to mind the romantic, dreamlike atmospheres of films from the 1950s. Music plays in the background and there are spellbinding chiaroscuro reflections on the water of the Lemene River as you stroll past the open shops and little restaurants that are ready to prepare the finest local dishes. Concordia by Candlelight is like an outdoor cinema that hovers between dreams and reality.

PROGRAMME:

Guided tour of Concordia Sagittaria and its ancient ruins and cathedral. In the evening we will have dinner in a typical local establishment and marvel at the beauty of the town when it is lit by nothing but candles.
